Often called The King of Pop, singer Michael Jackson is no stranger to controversy or conversation about his health. In 2007, news outlets reported that the singer had been diagnosed with lupus.
Born Aug. 29, 1958, the singer became famous at age 11 as part of The Jackson 5, an act consisting of his four other brothers – the precursor to today’s boy bands. His legacy includes some of the biggest albums in music history, including Thriller and Bad. He’s also known for his eccentric behavior, financial missteps and run-ins with the legal system.
Today he spends his time in several different countries. He is the father of three and a regular curiosity for supermarket tabloids.
