Question: Do fillings or hair dyes cause lupus?
Answer:

No scientific evidence exists that connects dental fillings to lupus, and most physicians do not feel that hair dye poses a risk as either causing lupus or triggering a flare. That said, one study makes an association between hair dyes and lupus symptoms, but subsequent studies have not found the same association.
